Jennifer and Michael Bier and Jeff Day Honored

On Sunday, April 6, Jan Peterson, President of Epworth-Euclid UMW said: “We have living examples of God’s work carried out through the efforts of these, our members, Jennifer and Michael Bier and Jeff Day.

“Jennifer and Michael, it is an honor and a privilege to be able to commemorate your devoted service to the Neighborhood Lunch, the College/Young Adult Bible Study, and the newly-formed Aspire programs here at EE as well as serving on many committees and commissions. Our heartfelt thanks for your energetic commitments to these very worthy programs.

“Jeff, your devoted efforts and commitments on behalf of our beloved church are almost too legion to mention—but I will try. You have been a member or chair of every committee and commission, currently as co-leader of the College/Young Adult Bible Study group, Chair of Finance and member of Trustees; you are in the leadership of District Lay Speakers, the UPCaM program, your involvement with the Emmaus Walks, your work in establishing a new worshipopportunity for our members and friends with the upcoming Center Stage Christian drama ministry, and so much more. And that does not even count the number of programs you are involved in outside the church, especially the Boy Scouts. I’m not sure when you sleep! “The Epworth-Euclid United Methodist Women would, today,

like to honor each of you with the United Methodist Women’s Special Mission Recognition. We have for you a gold pin engraved with a cross, and a certificate of award from the Women’s Division of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. As our Pastor Martin has stated, “To God be the glory for the things He has done!” We give thanks to God for Jennifer, Michael and Jeff’s faithful servanthood in carrying on your special missions. Thanks to each of you.”
